Memorial Giving
The following funds have been set up by families or friends of a loved one to honor their memory. STAAR thanks you for your contribution to their memory. All funds raised through memorial funds are used to help us toward our mission to provide awareness, education, and research funds for ovarian cancer.
Amy Tunison
Before she passed, Amy asked that donations made in her honor supporting research for low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC). Her wish was rooted in love for her daughter, Ellie Tunison Habib, who was diagnosed with stage IIIC LGSOC at just 27 years old after years of being misdiagnosed.
Gifts made in Amy’s memory support STAAR Low-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer Foundation , the first U.S. organization dedicated exclusively to funding LGSOC research. Ellie now serves on the STAAR Board of Directors and chairs the Research Committee. Your gift honors Amy’s legacy and helps advance research that gives hope to families facing LGSOC.
