Ride the Teal Wave for Ovarian Cancer: Paddling for a Cure in Bellingham Bay​
​Money raised: $15,000
Participants: 50
Pacific Northwest low-graders Kari Neumeyer, France Freeman, Sara Vellve, and Holly Stowell organized a fun paddle in Bellingham, Washington.
​The Community Boating Center offered a discounted rate on kayak rentals and afterward, paddlers enjoyed drinks at a local brewery and a prize drawing.
Tickle Tiki Teal, Tiki Island, Texas
Money Raised: $11,655
Participants: 60
STAAR board member Alyssa Toomes kicked off Step Up America 2022 events Labor Day weekend with a fundraising walk on the Tiki Island.
​All participants received a free STEP UP T-shirt and backpack loaded with goodies donated by local realtors and companies. Afterward, participants had an opportunity to make donations and win gift baskets from local businesses and friends.
Hike in the Heights
Money raised: $10,000
Participants: 115
STAAR Board Chair Nicole Andrews and Paige Little invited everyone and their dogs to walk the main boulevard in the Houston's Heights neighborhood. They passed out Step Up symptom awareness T-shirts and teal butterfly bandannas for dogs.
Sponsors provided iced coffee, frozen grapes, and drinks at a local biergarten, as well as treats for the dogs. Afterward, a drawing was held for a variety of donated gift baskets.

Kim set a personal goal of working out 10 times and invited others to join her and donate to her fundraiser.

Rosie Brown created a fundraiser called Team Tammy in honor of her cousin.
Jaimie LaMay's Personal Fundraiser

Jaimie started a STAAR fundraiser and raised $1,180 dollars.
